The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs: Who says people in the Valley don't know anything about literature?

  • vladimir_putin · 1 year ago
This Robert Frost, he is writer of cheap greeting cards when compared to titans of Russian poetry such as Pushkin, Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva, Mikhalkov.

I have heard poems of Lermontov are not taught to schoolchildrens of America. How is such a thing possible? Instead, you are teaching childrens lyrics of P. Diddy, Eminem, Soulja Boy. How is "I'm jocking on yo bitch ass" comparing to "When comes a gentle breeze and sways the yellowing meadow?"

For true poetry, Americans must look elsewhere. Your "Joseph" Brodsky, winner of Nobel Prize, Poet Laureate of United States? Is Russian!

Americans who want to read poems about snowy evening, I suggest you avoid "Frost," learn Russian. Russian peoples know of snow.

    President Putin,

Where is your blog comrade? I wish to hear your wisdom. Your words are like that of the gentle wind that flows through endless birch forests of the motherload.

Needs , five then ten years time to learn russian because is very difficult language, but i like very much the profound, the deep intensity of russian topic & theme.
Maybee also because it's a difference in kind of perception & inference of a eternal lovestory in a principal green field.
  • grandma with young hearts · 1 year ago
not need so much time and energy. Did you not learn your russian physics? Conservation of energy? Need only to watch Mr. Roger's tv show as a 4,3, year old or sleep next to tv when one year old while playing Mr. Rogers visits russian tv studio to see filming of Good Night, Little Ones, a Russian program hosted by Tatiana Vedeneeva. Also meet director, Victor Spiridonov.

Tatiana show you Gallia, the show's resident puppeteer, who works a pig named Khrusha. all russian epics reduced down to simple message in show. Very beautiful, much wisdom imparted, less learning silly difficult russian language with funny but pretty letters..
  • grandma with young hearts · 1 year ago
    .

can watch some sequences of the show here

    stars:
Stepashka the rabbit, Philya the puppy and their furry friends besides the adventures of Khryusha the piglet,

    www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq6SwCETltc

perhaps you have children or grandchildren that like to watch, too. Can learn visual Russian is not hard if you know a bit of visual American English
  • acap. · 1 year ago
Ya, principal i never sleep and watch television at same time, maybee my mistake for saving energy..., but lullaby is good method for learning anyway foreign languages. Are surely exist some commercial lullaby-products on market strategie storeys, but isn't the meant lovestory at the priceless top-poetry.

stay awake and watch other russian epic called "mitten".

    www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykOx0-9ZkX4

Almost as good or even better than Pixar, but do not tell Steve i said such. Or John Lasseter.

Or maybe better do tell both of them. maybe he will hire me as consultant. Will earn many coins to fill my mitten. Now must put on my mitten . Hair is finally dry and I can go outside. Is only 11 degrees.
  • acap. · 1 year ago
I try to tell them, when i don't forget. And when you are in consultant position you will make for share-it & you have eventually some coins for me, that i can spent them to some others if they need some. Will now go to look what's your ...X4 bluenumber.

do believe i know someone who already knows someone who can reach such people. this person is angry with me. perhaps? very big misunderstanding or he just not liking me or much bigger problems.

I missed boat and train on that because I am too old . many young people in front of me inline and young adults very hungry. Grandmother is only hungry for thoughts, younger people also need food and other things.

makes me very sad but that is why I have children and grandchildren. to go play in park a couple days each year when they are near. she cant do what she really loves to do and what bigger bosses know she is very very good at doing.

Sometimes life is no beach. So you have to swim in swimming pool.

Amaricens childreen can need this videos also for bee directors of circus. Maybee film with the speaking croko...
  • grandma with young hearts · 1 year ago
    .

mitten video remind me very much of grandson. has such wonderful imagination. can play so all day. turns grandmothers bracelot or handcuff into train and sit for hour telling story as such. Keep grandmother very young and happy.

never understand when people say they do not know what to do with their children. Watch 5 minute youtube video, then play for six hours in park. Time goes by very fast with children

grow up and then have children again.

or not grow up and be children whole life with very childlike wonder.

    I love that poem.
    *shakes head*
Well she did remember it better than I do, and was able to rattle off some.

She is kind of hot, but she might drive me insane if I didn't get some thing to balance out her sweetness. If I had a choice I would marry her and have affairs with Violet Blue.

everyone, stop hatin' on java girl — you're talkin' 'bout the woman i love!!

I agree totally! But, alas, "all the good ones are taken." as they say.

Perhaps in the next life she can be covered in roses and delights.
She could read poem to me anyday, anytime. Cute as a kitten.

This woman is Miss Teen South Carolina 23 years later. Maybe Scoble can, like, interview her and all, about the great Java stuff that Sun is doing, or whatever..
  • Martin · 1 year ago
FSJ, they really DO drink the kool-aid at Sun, don't they?

OmG! hOw 1979 jUniOR hIGh sKooL iS thIS gUrl n-E-WAy?

MaryMary is a 40-year-young clueless skull-full-of-mush embarrassment to her profession, her parents, her gender, her employer (Sun Foundation), and mammals in general.

Quick, FSJ! Make Moshe steal her webcam back!

At this rate, she's going to inadvertently reveal top-secret details of Sun's next technology acquisition (IBM?) or her youngest kid's first potty training experience -or both- in_the_same_YouTube post.

God! {stamping foot} This is the last Saturday night I spend at my sons' (they're triplets) basketball game, which they don't even notice if I'm there anyway (really, they don't, so don't try to lay the mother guilt on me) But goddammit, you can't possibly appreciate how much your goddamn ipod touch thing costs until you have to buy 3 of them at once for birthday gifts, so while you're sitting back with your feet up and raking it all in, Steve, whining "don't touch me" to some poor woman who just wanted to have a stupid picture taken with you - maybe you ought to try, just try to remember your roots. SOME OF US ARE OUT HERE JUST BARELY SURVIVING.

Mary, don't do it. Life is definitely worth living. Perhaps you can't see it now, but you'll look back in 10 years and thank me. Just put down the macbook and stop making video diaries. They're only going to make more people suicidal.

Don't you just love people who phrase each sentence like a question?

Isn't Sun dangerously close to becoming a fully fledged non-profit organization?
  • halhiker · 1 year ago
I can't believe you'd be unfamiliar with Frost. You've always seemed to take the road less traveled.
  • bleeds · 1 year ago
This is the meanest. funniest post of all time. Shame on her for choosing a lame life, but cmon Dan, no need to tear her down like this.
  • tomreeves · 1 year ago
I am uncomfortable with the meanness, too. FSJ seems to be using more meanness and less humor lately.
  • Keith Handy · 1 year ago
She started it. She was mean to poetry. Poetry couldn't defend itself, so FSJ stepped in.
  • tomreeves · 1 year ago
God did she abuse that poem, and possibility the entire canon of twentieth century American poetry.
  • OliverShulman · 1 year ago
She could give the Scobles a run for their money.

I'd do her. Once. And probably take money out of her purse when she wasn't looking.

Maybe Java Girl would prefer his book of poems about cats?

    It's called 'The Cattos'.

Had to stop the video less than half way. Mary makes dull and useless into an art form. It's bad performance art best viewed on acid.

i know this vlog was a rare opportunity, but if only you could find more material like this you wouldnt have to go about the droning task of waiting for fsj to die out. this was perhaps the funniest piece of literature ive ever read by you. i dont even know if that vlog was real because it was just so perfectly positioned for u to rip into. and rip into it u did sir. also the daniel lyons authors at google video was halarious. nice hand sir

Well December 7 - yea just another Friday . Nothing ever happened of importance on December 7. No reason to do anything special that day - no reason to feel anything special that day. Nope just another day.

Thank GOD for those millions of Americans who viewed December 7 as something very special on December 7, 1941.

I like at the end where she says 'so, what part did you like best', and then there's about 20 seconds of awkward silence.
  • Mike Cane · 1 year ago
    OMFG.

She blogs on DECEMBER SEVENTH and the date is meaningless to her?
  • vladimir_putin · 1 year ago
No, not meaningless. She said why is it not 幸運 (auspicious or lucky).

I think this Frost dude also had a TV show and just talked a lot. Had a funny accent too.
  • frostbite · 1 year ago
That was different kind of frost, it grows like moss in the long cold dark nights in scotland that accounts for the funny accent on TV.
  • Puzzled · 1 year ago
I know that Jack Frost gets around a lot when it's all snowy
I'm not sure I understand "Wiles to grow because I weep". Does it mean I got to have a handle on my emotions before I can fool anyone?

    I love you FSJ.
  • tomreeves · 1 year ago
My comment only relates to this post by virtue of YouTube. I watched the Crunchie YouTube of your presentation. I posted that you had jumped the shark. You had some hellion e-mail bomb me. What's up with that? There is a modest accounting of it on my blog (pwnership.com).
  • faddah · 1 year ago
nice try, troll. no one's linking to your blog. fergit it.
  • tomreeves · 1 year ago
Are you saying that I'm a troll for writing something mildly critical of the quality of FSJ's last bit of parody? I assume that you don't think that FSJ is a troll. What is this post we are commenting about? High praise? Or do you want only agreeable people to post?
  • Mr. Poopypants · 1 year ago
Tom - don't worry about faddah. He's part of the Twitter Generation. He flutters about from post to post and doesn't really read what he's responding to. Me thinks he might have ADD. A Twitter side-effect perhaps?
  • tomreeves · 1 year ago
Thanks for the blast of common sense. It's better than spewed nonsense.
  • grandma with young hearts · 1 year ago
    I just realized.

I am way out of my league here. I went to your link in page and blog page and found out you were really high up in the ranks at Sun. Who would have guessed it from the last video I saw of you. Then i looked at your other videos. I am a grandmother and i didn't know what a webkin was or is. I think I will keep it that way for now.

Walking in the snow I know. I did that barefoot because I could. It is a bit opposite and a little easier than walking on coals. Besides cold feet are not nearly as dangerous as blistered feet, unless you are talking about frostbite. Either way I need to stay healthy...

    so better safe than sorry.
  • rodogg · 1 year ago
jesus dude. you are KILLING me. it shouldn't be this funny but oh my god. "this super obscure poem"..."that she really seems to understand" cause she's got write more copy for selling their shitty unix servers. good lord!
