The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs : The best Christmas song of all time
John Draper & I will pee on the ashes.
Now the obvious difference is that Google makes money while Facebook is a hole you throw money into. But at what point does Google's board of directors start wondering about the crusade against MS which Eric Schmidt brings to every company he runs, and how that is supposed to add value to Google? Or what value is being added by a culture of Legos, Mountain Dew, and backrubs for overpayed and underachieving PHDs?
So yes, Google makes money... but eventually the board is going to realize that Google could make a lot MORE money if it wasn't propping up revenue holes like YouTube. At that point, heads will roll and people from more traditional business and advertising organizations will start filling the upper eschelons.
MS hate may be popular, but it's not a substitue for a business plan. Especially when your company doesn't even compete with MS.
You are a magnificent heartless bastard with a razor keen insight and sublime bloodlust... It is important not merely to see the underside of life in the valley but to appreciate it as bloodsport.
Morituri te salutant.
Poor SOB's. Kinda like clubbing baby seals.
Btw Randi Jayne's videos were awfully painful, she's paris hilton of silicon valley.
2.)Description of Larry watching videos of his firings while getting serviced had me laughing out loud, rolling on the floor - yeah, I used words, not abbreviations, how 'bout that?
3.)Could Sandberg actually be part of a grand scheme by Google, to infiltrate Microsoft, soften it up, replace Ballmer, appear to make company lean and mean again, only to be "merged" into Google by year 2014?
Mind, they got him later. As your logo attests.
Meanwhile while the grown ups take over the FB "platform" it is definitely time for the kids to find some new cool place. "FB? That is soooo 2007. I mean OMG, my Mom is like on that!"
I just wanted to say thanks for your hard work. With your help, over the weekend, I have passed Hillary in the superdelegate count. Of course, if you're fans of the Clinton News Network, I merely tied with her. Fortunately, the Clinton Broadcasting System realizes the truth.
Again, thank you.

When is a Fake ThinkSecret gonna come along and out all your sources for these brillant analyses?
Yes, this is brilliantly presented and put together, but really - FSJ - the most intriguing question nowadays could be - Who does Dan Lyons call before getting into the glib fakesteve mode with a sharp analysis?
Do you meetup with Cancer man in a bar?
No way you are using email. Or anything text or digital.
And since you are a journalist in real life, you know the rules for recording conversations in voice. So people trust a call. And you should know who to call, who will talk and who's in the know.
And damn, some of these people must savour seeing some of their thoughts and details appear here.
Obviously this is pure speculation. But .. there's gotta be something to it... right?
I'm not saying this to steal credit from FSJ. On the contrary - this whole FSJ thing is so inspired and brilliantly executed, and one of the most exciting things you can read anywhere today.
Yeah, messed up that reference..
